
This summer, let your child discover the thrill of acting with Dragonfly! In our 5-day acting courses, kids dive into a world of exciting activities that explore the essentials of acting and stagecraft. These courses are designed to boost creativity, self-expression, and teamwork, enhancing confidence both onstage and off. The week wraps up with a special performance where family and friends are invited to see all that the young actors have accomplished.
Every week has a different script and theme, making each course unique. Students can join for one, two, or all three weeks, choosing what fits best with their interests and time.

Day 1: Introduction to Acting Fundamentals
We'll start with the essentials: stage presence, voice projection, character building, and script interpretation. Participants will engage in interactive exercises to begin integrating these foundational skills.

Day 2: Exploring the Showcase Script
Students will delve into the showcase script, familiarizing themselves with the characters and themes. This includes script reading and initial discussions to fully understand the narrative and dramatic requirements.

Day 3: Casting and Beginning Blocking
Instead of auditions, casting decisions will be made to best suit each student's strengths and preferences. Immediately following casting, we'll start blocking scenes, allowing students to begin embodying their roles and understanding stage movements.

Day 4: Rehearsal Intensification
Rehearsals will intensify with a focus on refining performances, deepening character development, and perfecting scene transitions.

Day 5: Final Rehearsals and Showcase Performance
The course culminates with a day of final rehearsals followed by the showcase performance. Students will present their work to an audience of parents and friends, demonstrating the skills and confidence they've developed over the week.
